New to coaching? As a Leadership and Life Coach, I help clients to recognize the power of pushing pause in order to enjoy the hustle that busy life or a consuming job may bring.  In this pause, I support clients to trust their own instincts while expressing areas of ambition or concern. I do this through guiding, facilitating and asking powerful questions, and by being objective. Additionally, I listen. Some clients simply need a safe space to verbally process. Objective listening can help you as the client become aware of the thoughts that are limiting you and how you may choose to re-train the brain for better outcomes.

Life coaching is helpful for those who feel "that something is missing" or are extremely overwhelmed in life, there’s change on the horizon they want to approach proactively, they want to go the next level professionally or otherwise, or they desire to grow in areas such as relationships, faith or personal confidence, however they are unsure where or how to begin the process.

Consider the life of an athlete. They are in the game on the field, while their coach who provides strategies, experience, perspective and encouragement, is on the sidelines cheering them on to victory. This is just as true for entrepreneurs, leaders, professionals, stay at home moms, supportive wives, and more!

Coaching is NOT psychotherapy or counseling; we do not diagnose.  It is not a substitute for therapy, nor is it suitable for people with serious emotional problems.

What does a basic coaching session look like?

Each coaching session tends to look different, it all depends on the client’s personality and the celebrations and/or challenges she is currently facing. Meaning, sometimes she may start off with a bang, other times she may be slow to warm up, neither is wrong, they are just different.

In any case, my job is to listen, guide, encourage, and offer accountability. That is often facilitated through the Grow Model. This coaching structure was developed in the 1980s by three coaches. With this proven method, combined with similar models, and my coaching experience, I have developed a collaborative structure to use. (see graphic)
